Mottern School (1927)
Mottern was likely located in the Dog Town area based on the name.
Pine Run School (1930)
Location: Dora-Timblin Road
Located on the left going from Timblin to Dora near the sharp turn where Eagle Valley Road departed. The school was between a house once occupied by Bunny Hetrick and the Charles Milliron farm. It was the school attended by Oran (Tuck) Kordes.
Reitz School (1945)
The last teacher was Lorain Mowrey. The school building was purchased by Lorain Mowrey and converted to a home. Currently owned by Keith.
Himes School (1946)
Location: Sherry Hollow Road
Located in Buffalo Valley near the old Sammy Himes farm where Sol and Buss grew up. Built on land from the original Sammy Himes homestead. The Clair Himes family once had a camp in the valley below the school house.
Dinger School (1948)
Location: Reed Road
Located in Ducktown, on the left immediately after the dirt road toward Isaac Reiner's garage split at the sharp right curve. There is now a home on the site.
Snyder School (1956)
Location: Sandy Hill Road
Weaver School (1959)
Pine Run School (1960)
Location: Dora-Timblin Road
This was a two-room school with both rooms on the same level. The building was purchased by Carl Doverspike and converted to a house. Richard currently owns and lives in the home located about 150-200 yards west of Dora.
Ringgold School (1960)
Location: Route 536
Located on the right side of the Ringgold-Timblin Road about 100 yards off Route 536 in Ringgold (opposite the Ringgold Methodist Church). The site is now used by Ringgold Township as a maintenance/storage/administrative facility.
