Historical Context: The original names of Timblin #1 and #2 were Harrison #1 and Harrison #2, named for the land owner (farm) from which the properties were purchased. These schools are located on the left side at the east edge of Timblin at the top of the hill leaving town toward Dora on the Dora-Timblin Road.
Timblin #1 (Harrison #1) School (1943)
Location: Dora-Timblin Road
Located on the left side at the east edge of Timblin. The building's front faces north with the rear side facing south toward the road. This property has been privately owned for many years.
Timblin #3 (Brookside) School (1958)
Location: South State Street
Located on the right (north) side of South State Street after crossing Pine Run Creek and immediately before the sharp left turn to go up the hill known to locals as Windy Whiz. The original school building was torn down by John Kennedy.
Timblin #2 (Harrison #2) School (1960)
Location: Dora-Timblin Road
Located adjacent to Timblin #1, positioned in the trees to the right. The property features the remains of the former playground area and outbuilding locations marked by clumps of trees.
